Practice Description
Aaron represents upstream energy companies in a variety of transactional matters. His practice focuses on title examination, due diligence efforts related to the disposition of producing and non-producing oil and gas assets. Aaron has represented a variety of companies from major oil and gas companies to small, private equity-backed start-ups.
Prior to joining Toeppich & Associates, Aaron was an attorney at a small Salt Lake City-based oil and gas firm, and before that, a landman at Chevron in Houston. While at Chevron he managed various counties and plays in both East and West Texas. He also managed the title examination process for properties in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Louisiana. During his roles as an attorney and landman, Aaron has drafted and negotiated a variety of agreements from deeds, leases, easements, assignments, purchase sale agreements, joint operating agreements, data trades, settlement agreements, surface damage agreements, master services agreements, and many others.
As a practicing attorney, Aaron has drafted numerous drilling title opinions, supplemental title opinions, and limited acquisition title opinions, throughout various plays in Oklahoma and Texas.
