Practice Description
Austin represents clients in the energy sector in a variety of transactional matters relating to oil and gas exploration, production, distribution, and marketing. His practice primarily focuses on title examination and due diligence related to acquisitions and divestitures of oil and gas assets.
While in law school, Austin was the teaching assistant for Business Associations and Mergers & Acquisitions. Also, Austin won the Outstanding Brief Award at the 30th Annual Duberstein Moot Court Competition, the nation’s preeminent bankruptcy moot court competition. Additionally, Austin was a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Frances H. Stacy of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Prior to joining firm, Austin gained experience as a law clerk with a civil litigation firm in the Greater Houston area dealing with real estate, probate, and commercial litigation matters.
