Practice Description

Phil represents clients in the energy sector in a variety of transactional matters relating to oil and gas exploration, production, pipelines, storage, and marketing. Phil’s practice primarily is focused on land titles and title examination and drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts, deeds, conveyances, leases, easements and right of way agreements, mortgages and other liens and encumbrances. He also prepares and interprets subordinations, releases, renewals and extensions of encumbrances, operating agreements, unitization agreements, pooling agreements, stipulations of interest, purchase and sale agreements, non-disclosure agreements, area of mutual interest agreements, farmout agreements, and title curative.

Prior to joining the firm, Phil maintained a similar practice in the energy sector, as well as advising and representing major real estate developers in transactions that would permit development of surface interests while still accommodating access for mineral exploration and production.
